As of November 2021 all databases have been converted to MySQL 5.7. (History: old database version was MySQL 5.1, later all updated to MySQL 5.5. If a new database is created, then it is version MySQL 5.7 (as of August 2020).)

As of January 2024 the wtclass.org web server provides flexible services when it comes to case sensititity in file names. The server is Linux-based, so it is possible to have several versions of files, say test.html, TEST.html, TEst.html, etc. located on the server. When a file is requested whose only difference is due to case-sensitivity, then the server serves the file that would match in a case insensitive way. If multiple files would match, then the server provides a choice as to which file should be opened; e.g. if a file Test.html were requested, then the server presents a page that allows to choose between test.html, TEST.html, and TEst.html.
